The nice guys over at Urban Threads have written a
brilliant article on us!
This slick tattoo inspired embroidery looks like it was done with freemotion machine embroidery. Which, for the life of me, I can't imagine pulling off. My futura is stubborn enough on the best of days, and that's when it already has a design programmed into it. These are just incredible.
Along with pillows, the offer clothing and bags with the same amazing embroidery and handmade details. I love this style, it's not only a juxtapose of design ideas, tattoo with old fashioned embroidery, but also because it's like a bridge between hand embroidery and machine embroidery. Only thing is it happens to employ all the difficult elements of each... all the painstaking detail of hand embroidery and all the mechanical malfunctions of the machine!
